It is one of the most rewarding experiences to play chamber music together with kindred spirits. In my life, recreational chamber music has always been my favourite pastime! Coochiemudlo Island with its brand-new Seminara Apartments, next to the local Community Hall on the waterfront (booked for our chamber orchestra rehearsals and performances) makes this place the ideal environment to celebrate the New Year after all the traditional festive hype and fireworks. I am looking forward to hearing and playing string quartet for a few days in a row with the occasional trio, quintet or sextet in between. In the evenings there will be two chamber orchestras, one for 'first position players' and the other one for advanced players. A concert for the locals is planned for Saturday evening.
The coaches will ensure the musical spark within you is fuelled to its maximum! This may wel l lead to musical explosions - peaks that we don't forget, fulfilling moments during which the rest of the world disappears!
